Amitabh Bachchan Praises Film Heritage Foundation's New Postal Stamp

New Delhi, June 16 (HS) – Amitabh Bachchan, the iconic actor and ambassador of the Heritage Film Federation, celebrated the release of a special cover and a five-rupee stamp by the Indian Postal Department. The release took place at the historic VT Post Office in Mumbai to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Film Heritage Foundation. Bachchan extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Foundation's founder director, Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, and his dedicated team.

Amitabh Bachchan shared his excitement on his social media platform, stating, "It is an incredible honor for the Foundation that the Indian Postal Department has released a special postal cover in recognition of the Heritage Film Federation's tireless efforts to preserve India's film heritage."

At a ceremony held at the General Post Office (GPO) in VT, Mumbai, the Department of Posts, India, unveiled a special postal cover and cancellation stamp dedicated to the Foundation's remarkable work.

The event featured speeches from eminent personalities, including poet, writer, lyricist, and filmmaker Gulzar, renowned director Shyam Benegal, Chief Postmaster General of Maharashtra Kishan Kumar Sharma, and Postmaster General of Mumbai Amitabh Singh. The function was attended by many distinguished guests.
