Surat : Blood Donation Camp Held on World Blood Donation Day

On the occasion of World Blood Donation Day, Rapier Jacquard Association and Sachin GIDC Rotary Hospital organized a blood donation camp on Friday to support children suffering from thalassemia. The camp aimed to ensure a steady supply of blood for these children, who require transfusions every 15 days to a month.

The event witnessed a large turnout, including notable figures such as DCP Zone 6 Rajesh Parmar, ACP Nirav Gohil, Sachin GIDC PI Bhavisha Parmar, Deepak Gondalia of Gokulanand Yarn, and various industrialists from Sachin GIDC. Additionally, representatives from rapier units across Surat, including those from Laxmivila, Diamond Industrial Park, Hojiwala Industry, and Ubhel Industrial Area, attended the program.

Over 300 people donated blood during the camp, contributing significantly to the cause. DCP Rajesh Parmar highlighted the importance of such initiatives, stating, "This blood donation camp is an important initiative towards making a difference in the lives of children suffering from thalassemia." He urged the public to continue supporting such noble causes.

The president of the Rapier Jacquard Association expressed his commitment to the cause, saying, "We are dedicated to helping children with thalassemia. This blood donation camp is a small effort in this direction." He encouraged more people to participate in future blood donation drives.

The event underscored the community's collective effort to support children in need, ensuring they receive the necessary medical care and blood transfusions to manage their condition.
