Surat, India – A one-year-old girl tragically lost her life after accidentally ingesting acid while her mother was busy in the kitchen in Limbayat, a city neighborhood. The young girl, Amina Ansari, mistook a bottle of acid for water and consumed it, resulting in her being admitted to the Civil Hospital in critical condition.
The incident occurred on March 31 when Amina's mother, Najma Ansari, was preparing food in their home near Madina Masjid. Upon realizing the horrifying accident, Najma quickly rushed her daughter to the hospital, where doctors immediately transferred the toddler to the ICU and began intensive treatment. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, Amina succumbed to her injuries after five days of medical care.
This heartbreaking accident serves as a reminder to parents in Surat and beyond to remain vigilant in ensuring the safety of their children. Previous incidents have involved children falling or swallowing objects like rings and coins while playing at home. Amina's tragic death highlights the importance of taking precautions to prevent similar accidents from occurring in the future.
