Surat : Successful 'Art Preview' at Vanita Vishram Art Gallery

Surat - The Vanita Vishram Art Gallery buzzed with enthusiasm as art lovers gathered for an 'Art Preview' organized by the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI). The event was a precursor to the upcoming art exhibition at Nehru Centre Art Gallery, Worli, Mumbai, scheduled from June 11 to 17.

The preview showcased the artistic prowess of 43 artists hailing from Surat, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Daman, and Mumbai. A diverse range of mediums, including oil paintings, acrylic paintings, sculptures, photography, and pencil drawings, highlighted the creativity and talent of the artists.

Art enthusiasts closely examined the artworks, expressing their admiration for the artists' ingenuity. One notable highlight of the event was the sale of an impressive oil painting of a horse, crafted with dedication over 30-40 days, to an art lover from Surat.

The event commenced with a welcome speech by Chamber of Commerce President Ramesh Vaghasiya, who emphasized the importance of promoting art and creativity in society. He provided insights into the upcoming Mumbai exhibition and encouraged the artists to continue their creative endeavors.

Vijay Chauhan, President of the Indian Institute of Architects SRC, inaugurated the 'Art Preview', while fine art, nature, and travel photographer Saurabh Desai graced the occasion as the chief guest.

The significance of art in society was underscored during the event. Art not only serves as a source of entertainment but also plays a crucial role in inspiring and bringing positive change to society by offering new perspectives on life.

This 'Art Preview' and the forthcoming SGCCI art exhibition offer a fantastic platform for artists to display their work and for art lovers to appreciate and acquire unique pieces. The initiative by SGCCI is a commendable effort to promote art and culture, fostering a deeper appreciation for artistic expression.
