Under the leadership of State for Transport and Home, Shri Harsh Sanghvi, a review meeting was held on Tuesday to address outstanding questions from Members of Parliament, MLAs, and District Presidents regarding the Gujarat Transport Corporation. The meeting was held at the New Secretariat, Swarnim Complex-2, and representatives from the Corporation were present to discuss the issues and take necessary actions for immediate and positive resolution.
The Minister reviewed 184 different representations made by people's representatives regarding the Corporation. The issues ranged from requests for new bus routes, changes in route timings, and construction of new bus stands/pickup stands. Out of the 184 representations, 81 issues were resolved on the spot, and the Minister showed readiness to resolve all remaining issues.
The remaining 61 questions will be considered and dealt with due consideration, while alternative facilities have been made available for the 33 questions submitted. This move shows the State Government's commitment to addressing the concerns of its people and working towards improving the transport system.
