On World Environment Day, Morari Bapu calls for protecting the five elements by planting trees
Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], June 5: As the world celebrates World Environment Day on June 5, revered spiritual leader and Ramcharitmanas exponent, Morari Bapu, has issued a heartfelt appeal to people, urging immediate and collective action to protect and restore the environment.
Morari Bapu emphasised the critical importance of safeguarding the five elements – earth, water, sky, fire, and air – which form both the universe and human beings.
“We have exploited the five elements to a great extent due to our selfish nature, our ignorance, or other reasons. The results of exploiting the resources beyond all limits are there for us and the world to see,” Morari Bapu said.
Highlighting the interconnectedness of these elements with human health and well-being, he said that the damage to the five elements in the universe will also hurt humans. He said this damage is why diseases, incurable ailments, and unimaginable stress are becoming a part of our bodies and routine lives.
Morari Bapu emphasised the urgency of the situation and the need for a unified effort to reverse environmental degradation and restore the balance of nature.
“We worship each of the five elements as Gods. As a sadhu, it is my prayer to everyone that let us worship the elements in the true sense by planting trees and protecting the environment. It is critical,” he said.
Proposing a simple yet powerful solution, Morari Bapu called for the planting of trees on a massive scale. He said that out of 140 crore Indians, even if 100 crore people plant just one tree, there would be 100 crore more trees.
“Like we nourish and nurture our children, each of us should take the complete responsibility of nourishing and nurturing the trees. If all of us do that, the world can once again become lush green,” he added.
Morari Bapu’s appeal serves as a clarion call to unite in the fight against environmental degradation and to take tangible steps toward a greener, healthier planet.
