Navsari : In the Gujarat Lok Sabha elections, BJP's dominance was clear, with CR Patil achieving a historic victory in the Navsari constituency. Patil defeated his rival, senior Congress leader Naishadh Desai, by an impressive margin of 7,73,551 votes.
Out of the 13,17,754 voters who participated in the Navsari election, BJP candidate CR Patil secured 10,31,065 votes. In contrast, Congress candidate Naishadh Desai received 2,57,514 votes. This victory marks Patil's fourth consecutive term representing Navsari in the Lok Sabha.
Despite the overwhelming defeat, Congress leader Naishadh Desai expressed his determination, stating, "We fought with tremendous strength to defeat the powerful leader of BJP. But Congress has not been able to attract voters, which is our misfortune. The administration is working under fear and greed. From Panchayat to Municipal Corporation and Vidhan Sabha, BJP is ruling everywhere. Still, our workers and voters are associated with Congress."
CR Patil's substantial win underscores the BJP's continued stronghold in Gujarat, demonstrating the party's extensive support base and effective campaign strategy in the region.
