Shankar Lalwani Sets Record with 11.75 Lakh Vote Victory in Indore
Defeats BSP's Sanjay Solanki; NOTA secures second highest votes
New Delhi : Shankar Lalwani has created electoral history by winning a staggering 11,75,092 votes from Indore in the recent elections. Lalwani, representing his party, defeated his nearest rival, Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Sanjay Solanki, who garnered 51,659 votes.
Shankar Lalwani received a total of 12,26,751 votes, while the 'None of the Above' (NOTA) option emerged as the second highest choice among voters with 2,18,674 votes, setting a record in Indian electoral history.
Previously, CR Patel from Navsari, Gujarat, held the record for the largest victory margin in the country, winning by 6,89,668 votes in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. This year, Patel is again leading by a significant margin of 7,65,000 votes. Similarly, Home Minister Amit Shah is poised to secure a win by a margin of 7 lakh votes.
