A strange incident surfaced in Surat on Sunday when a video went viral on social media showing an 8-year-old child riding a bullet bike at high speed. In the video, a young man can be seen sitting behind the child and holding the bike's handle. The viral video prompted immediate action from the police, who arrested the youth involved.
The video, recorded on Saturday morning, shows the child riding the bike dangerously without wearing a helmet. The video sparked outrage on social media, with many criticizing the young man, who turned out to be the child's uncle.
The Pandesara police quickly launched an investigation and identified the accused as Kuldeep Priyavrit Singh based on the viral video. Kuldeep was arrested, and a case was registered against him.
During police interrogation, Kuldeep confessed to his crime, explaining that he had taken his nephew out to make a reel. In the process, he allowed the child to ride the bullet bike. Kuldeep expressed remorse and apologized, acknowledging his mistake.
The police have charged Kuldeep with negligent driving and endangering a minor. Further investigations are underway.
This incident once again underscores the importance of road safety. Children should never operate a vehicle, especially without a driving license. Parents and guardians must encourage children to adhere to road safety rules to prevent such dangerous situations.
