Surat : SGCCI and SCCI Sign MoU to Boost Trade Relations

Surat : On Friday, the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saurashtra Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Bhavnagar, under the SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84. This strategic agreement focuses on bolstering trade and commercial relations between the two Chambers.

The MoU was signed by SGCCI President Ramesh Vaghasia and SCCI President Dilip Kanan. The signing ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including SGCCI Vice President and President-Elect Vijay Mewawala, Honorary Treasurer Kiran Thummar, Chairman of All Exhibitions Bijal Jariwala, Group Presidents Nirav Mandlewala and Mrinal Shukla, SCCI Vice President of Commerce and Industry Prakash Gorasia, Former President Kirit Soni, and Honorary Minister Ashok Kotadiya.

SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84

SGCCI's Global Connect Mission 84 aims to promote exports worth Rs 84,000 crore from Surat, Gujarat, and India. The mission seeks to connect 84,000 entrepreneurs and business organizations nationwide and internationally.

Key Points of the MoU:

  • Strengthening industrial and commercial relations between SGCCI and SCCI members.
  • Organizing industrial tours of various industries in Bhavnagar and Surat.
  • Encouraging food processing industries and cold storage exporters of Bhavnagar to participate in SGCCI's Food & Beverages Expo.
  • Promoting participation of Bhavnagar industries in various exhibitions organized by SGCCI.

SGCCI President Ramesh Vaghasia highlighted that the MoU will enhance relationships between the two Chambers and create new opportunities for industries in Surat and Bhavnagar. He mentioned SGCCI's commitment to supporting Bhavnagar's food processing industry under Mission 84.

SCCI President Dilip Kanan emphasized that the MoU will help connect Bhavnagar's industries to SGCCI's extensive network. He encouraged SCCI members to participate in various industry exhibitions organized by SGCCI.
