Cong, AAP workers to work together to win Delhi seats: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, May 23 (HS): Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi held a public meeting in Dilshad Garden on Thursday, the last day of election campaign in Delhi, in support of Congress candidate Kanhaiya Kumar from North East Delhi.

Appealing to vote for the Indi alliance candidates, he told the party workers that all seven seats in Delhi have to be won. For this, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers should work together.

The former Congress President said that the fight in this election is to protect the Indian Constitution. The Congress leader said, ?It is not just a book, our Constitution encompasses thousands of years of ideological legacy of Gandhi, Ambedkar and Nehru.? Rahul alleged that BJP always wants to tear the Constitution and throw it away.

Regarding reservation, the Congress leader said that people of BJP talk about abolishing reservation but Congress has said in its manifesto that we will remove the 50 percent limit on reservation and increase it beyond 50 percent.

Rahul Gandhi mentioned women and said that women work 16 hours a day, so to make crores of women of the country millionaires, Congress will deposit ?1 lakh every year in the accounts of women.
