New Delhi – In a remarkable performance at the World Athletics Continental Tour (Challenger Level) meeting in Jyväskylä, Finland, Tejas Shirse broke the national record in the men’s 110m hurdles. The 21-year-old athlete clocked an impressive 13.41 seconds in the final, surpassing the previous record of 13.48 seconds set by Siddhant Thingalaya in 2017. Shirse’s new record is currently pending the usual ratification process.
However, despite his achievement, Shirse fell short of the Paris Olympics entry standard of 13.27 seconds in the men’s 110 meters hurdles.
