New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed profound grief over the tragic demise of Iran's President Dr. Seyed Ibrahim Raisi in a helicopter accident. In a heartfelt message on his X handle, PM Modi conveyed India's solidarity with Iran during this hour of sorrow.

Prime Minister Modi's message read, "Deeply saddened and shocked by the tragic demise of Dr. Seyed Ibrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar also expressed his condolences on the loss of both Iran's President and Foreign Minister H. Amir-Abdullahian.
