Two More Devotees Die at Yamunotri Dham, Total Reaches Seven

Uttarkashi – The pilgrimage to Yamunotri Dham in Uttarakhand witnessed two more fatalities on Tuesday, bringing the total number of deaths during the Chardham Yatra to seven. The deceased, identified as Ram Prasad (51) from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and Daksha Ben Patel (68) from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, were pronounced dead at Jankichatti Health Center.

Ram Prasad suffered injuries after slipping near Bhairav Temple on the Yamunotri pedestrian road around 8 PM. Shortly after, Daksha Ben Patel experienced breathing difficulties while returning from Yamunotri at 8:15 PM and fainted. Both devotees were taken to Jankichatti Health Center, where doctors declared them dead.

This tragic news follows the death of another pilgrim at Badrinath Dham on Monday, highlighting the harsh conditions and risks associated with the Chardham Yatra. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, urging pilgrims to take necessary precautions during their journey.
