Body of Missing Person Found in Narmada River, Search Continues

Rajpipla – Tragedy struck near Poicha in Gujarat's Narmada district as the body of one of the seven missing individuals was recovered from the Narmada river. On Tuesday, eight people were swept away by a strong current while visiting the river. One person was rescued, but seven remained unaccounted for until the body of Bhavesh Hadiya was found on Wednesday morning, 19 hours after the incident.

The incident occurred when a group of ten people, originally from Amreli and now residing in Surat, went to Poicha for a visit. Eight members of the group, including three children, entered the river for a bath and were caught in the powerful current. Rescue operations, involving the NDRF, Vadodara Fire Brigade, and local sailors, commenced immediately but were halted late Tuesday evening due to lack of success.

Rescue efforts resumed early Wednesday, leading to the recovery of Bhavesh Hadiya's body. The search continues for the remaining six missing individuals, identified as Bharat Baldania, Arnav Baldania (12), Metraksh Baldania (15), Vraj Baldania (11), Aryan Jijala (7), and Bhargav Hadiya (15).

Local authorities, including the Rajpipla city police, are actively involved in the ongoing search and rescue operations, hoping to find the remaining missing persons.
