Gujarat Board 10th Result: Record 82.56% Pass, Best in 30 Years

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education declared the Class 10th results, revealing a remarkable 82.56% pass rate, marking a substantial 17.94% increase from last year and the best result in 30 years. The number of students achieving A1 grades has quadrupled this year, with 23,247 students attaining this top mark compared to just 6,111 last year.

Gandhinagar secured the highest pass rate at 87.22%, while Porbandar district had the lowest at 74.57%. A total of 1,389 schools in the state achieved a 100% pass rate. Girls outshone boys with a pass rate of 86.69% compared to boys' 79.12%, a 7.57% difference.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board released the results on their website www.gseb.org. Students can access their results using their seat numbers or by sending their seat numbers to 6357300971.

Over 9 lakh students appeared for the exams, with 7,06,370 registered candidates and 6,99,598 taking the exam. Of these, 82.56% passed. Additionally, 1,65,984 candidates registered as repeaters, with 1,60,451 taking the exam and a pass rate of 49%. Out of 17,378 GSOS candidates, 16,261 appeared for the exam, with 4,981 passing, resulting in a pass rate of 30.63%.

District-wise results include Rajkot with an 85.23% pass rate, a 12.49% improvement from last year, and Surat achieving an 86.75% pass rate, with the highest number of A1 grades in the state at 4,870. Vadodara achieved a 77.20% pass rate, a 15% improvement from last year.
