Tragic Accident: Five Children Die as Tractor Overturns in Jabalpur

Jabalpur : Tragedy struck in village Tineta, Jabalpur, as five children lost their lives when a tractor they were on overturned on Monday morning. The incident occurred around 11:30 am under the Chargwan police station jurisdiction. The children, aged between 10 and 18, were on their way to fetch a water tanker when the accident happened. Two injured individuals were rushed to the medical college.

Additional Superintendent of Police Suryakant Sharma revealed that all the deceased children were relatives residing in Tineta Deori village. They were accompanying 18-year-old Dharmendra Thakur (Gaund), who was driving the tractor. The tragic incident occurred just 500 meters from their house, causing the tractor to lose control and overturn in a nearby field.

The victims were identified as Dharmendra (18) son of Ram Prasad Thakur, Devendra (15) son of Mohan Barkade, Rajveer (13) son of Lakhanlal Gond, Anoop Barkade (12) son of Govind Badkade, and Lucky (10) son of Lochan Markam. Two other children, 12-year-old Dalpat son of Niranjan Gond and 10-year-old Vikas son of Ram Kumar Uike, sustained injuries in the accident.

In response to the tragedy, the district administration has approved financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the families of the deceased children and Rs 10,000 to the injured. The incident has left the village in mourning as they come to terms with the loss of the young lives.
