In Beed district, a similar operation was conducted at the Khamgaon check post late on Saturday night. A car was intercepted and searched, leading to the discovery of Rs 1 crore in an iron box. The individual claiming ownership stated that the money belonged to Dwarkadas Mantri Bank but failed to provide supporting documents. Subsequently, the Election Commission team and the police seized the money and launched further investigations.
In a separate incident on the same night, the Election Commission and police team seized Rs 1.5 crore from a milk tempo in the Airoli area of Thane district.
