Surat City Police has initiated a novel approach to enhance law enforcement and public awareness by introducing new features on police vehicles. As part of this initiative, lights are being installed on police vehicles, and patrol cars are being equipped with microphone systems.
The implementation of blinking lights on police vehicles aims to increase their visibility, ensuring that the presence of law enforcement is felt from a distance. Additionally, the microphone systems in patrol cars will enable the police to effectively communicate important information, including traffic updates, to the public.
Furthermore, flickering police lights will be installed at all checkpoints, further enhancing the visibility and identification of police presence, particularly during nighttime.
Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot expressed confidence in the effectiveness of these measures, stating that they will enhance public perception of safety and the police presence. Approximately 50 systems have been deployed, including in various police vehicles used for traffic management and patrol duties.
The benefits of these new measures include increased police visibility, improved public awareness of police presence, enhanced communication of important messages, and improved police identification, especially during nighttime operations.
This innovative approach is expected to significantly contribute to maintaining law and order in Surat city and increase public awareness of police activities and presence.
