PM Modi Assures Protection of Constitution and Reservation Rights
Addresses Election Rally in Palamu, Jharkhand, Emphasizes Voting Power
Palamu (Jharkhand) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a gathering in Palamu, Jharkhand, reaffirming his commitment to safeguarding the Constitution and the reservation rights of backward communities and Dalits. Speaking at an election rally in Chianki Airport, Daltonganj, PM Modi emphasized the power of voting and its impact on national issues.
PM Modi credited the construction of the Ram temple and the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir to the power of a single vote. He highlighted the role of voting in ending Naxalism and removing the Congress government in 2014. He urged voters to support parties that prioritize the national interest, emphasizing the significance of each vote.
Addressing the audience, PM Modi praised the efforts of the people in making Palamu an aspirational district, focusing on development. He assured the crowd that no matter how challenging the circumstances, voting on May 13 is crucial. He urged voters to participate enthusiastically in the electoral process, comparing it to a festival and emphasizing its importance in maintaining the strength of democracy.
PM Modi also touched upon national security, stating that the new India retaliates against terrorism with surgical and air strikes. He contrasted the current situation with the past, highlighting the change in Pakistan's perception of India. He criticized the Congress and its leaders, accusing them of lacking an understanding of poverty and exploiting sentiments for political gain.
Regarding reservation, PM Modi assured that reservation based on religion will not be implemented as long as he is alive. He expressed pride in being the first Prime Minister to visit the birthplace of tribal leader Birsa Munda, announcing plans to celebrate his 150th birth anniversary as the Year of Tribal Pride in 2025.
PM Modi concluded by urging voters to support the BJP and its candidate Vishnu Dayal Ram in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on May 13. He praised Ram's simplicity despite his background as a former DGP, urging voters to recognize his capabilities.
