Fatal Car Accident on the Mussoorie-Dehradun road Claims Five Lives
Six People in Car, One Survivor Admitted to Doon Hospital
Dehradun, 04 May (HS): Tragedy struck early this morning as a car accident near Jharipani Road on the Mussoorie-Dehradun road claimed five lives and left a young woman seriously injured. The car, carrying six people, lost control and met with the accident, leading to this devastating outcome.
The accident, which occurred around 5:30 am, involved a car with registration number UK 07 BD 8600. Dehradun SP City Pramod Kumar reached the accident spot to oversee the situation. Teams from Mussoorie Police, Fire Service, and SDRF also arrived at the scene promptly to assist.
Among the six occupants of the car, three were found in a ditch and were immediately rushed to Dehradun Higher Center via 108 ambulance. Unfortunately, three individuals died on the spot, with two more succumbing to their injuries later. The deceased include four young men and one girl, all students of an educational institute in Dehradun. They were returning to Dehradun from Mussoorie when the accident occurred.
The victims have been identified as Aman Singh Rana (22), Ashutosh Tiwari, Hadyansh Chand from DIT College Jhansi, Tanu from IMS College, and Divyansh Pratap Bhati, son of DS Bhati (23). The seriously injured survivor, Nancy, a resident of Meerut, is currently admitted to Doon Hospital for treatment.
