Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized Congress for spreading falsehoods and promised to defend the reservation system. Addressing a rally in Deesa, Gujarat, he highlighted Gujarat's importance in his political journey and outlined his vision for the country's future, emphasizing development.

Deesa, May 1 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on Congress during a public meeting in Deesa, Gujarat. He accused Congress of running a campaign of lies and deceit, particularly criticizing their stance on reservation and the constitution.

Modi, on a two-day election tour in Gujarat, sought votes for BJP candidates in Banaskantha and Patan seats. He challenged Congress, urging them to stop their alleged game of fake videos and face the issues head-on. He assured that he would not let reservation be used on the basis of religion and vowed to protect the rights of SC, ST, OBC, and general category individuals.

Responding to opposition views on reservation and the constitution, Modi emphasized that the Constitution, as envisioned by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, would be preserved. He denounced Congress's alleged intent to divert reservation benefits to Muslims, stating that the rights granted under the Constitution would be safeguarded.

Congratulating Gujarat on its Foundation Day, Modi expressed gratitude for the support he received from the state, which contributed to his tenure as Chief Minister and influenced his governance in Delhi. He emphasized the significance of Gujarat in his political journey and urged for renewed efforts to develop the state and the nation.

Reflecting on his tenure since 2014, Modi highlighted the improvements made and the efforts to overcome challenges. He assured voters of continued progress, stating his commitment to making India the world's third-largest economy in his third term, benefiting present and future generations. He outlined plans for the government's third term, focusing on welfare measures for the poor and farmers.

Modi praised Gujarat for its stable governance, contrasting it with the perceived instability under Congress rule. He criticized Congress's negative campaigning, asserting that their efforts to defame him and spread hatred would not succeed. He predicted a significant defeat for the opposition coalition in the upcoming elections, citing their poor performance in previous phases.

As the election campaign intensifies, Modi urged unity and pledged to work tirelessly for the country's development. He called on voters to support BJP candidates, emphasizing that every vote for them is a vote for him and his vision for a prosperous India.
