The Surat Special Operations Group (SOG) successfully apprehended a suspect in a murder case dating back to 2017. The incident occurred aboard the Surat-Bhusaval passenger train at Udhna railway station.
The accused, identified as 27-year-old Sudarshan alias Prabhakar Patil, was arrested from Nilgiri circle of Limbayat. Patil, originally from Jalgaon, was involved in a dispute with passengers over opening a coach door, leading to a physical altercation where two passengers were forcibly removed and assaulted, resulting in one fatality. After the incident, Patil fled the scene and had been evading authorities until his recent arrest. Patil has a prior record, including involvement in cricket betting and a case related to alcohol consumption.
