Chardham Yatra Registration in Full Swing as Devotees Gear Up for Uttarakhand Pilgrimage
Dehradun - Uttarakhand's Chardham Yatra is set to commence from 10th May, with devotees actively registering online. Registration slots are full until May, urging pilgrims to secure their spot promptly. Over 1.7 million devotees have already registered for the sacred journey.
From 15th to 29th April, 1,709,118 registrations were recorded. Among these, 277,775 registered for Yamunotri, 310,715 for Gangotri, 594,147 for Kedarnath, 498,086 for Badrinath, and 28,395 for Hemkund Sahib.
To ensure a smooth pilgrimage and manage crowd control, the Uttarakhand Tourism Department has capped daily registrations. Kedarnath Yatra allows a maximum of 18,000 devotees per day, 20,000 for Badrinath, 11,000 for Gangotri, and 9,000 for Yamunotri.
With Chardham Yatra beginning on 10th May, the rush for registrations is evident. Registrations are full until 31st May 2024, and those registering now can expect dates in June.
