BJP Vows to Protect SC, ST, OBC Reservations: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah refutes Rahul Gandhi's claim of BJP planning to end SC/ST and OBC reservations, asserting BJP's commitment to preserve them. Shah criticizes opposition alliance and highlights BJP's role in empowering the poor.

Etah - Union Home Minister Amit Shah has vehemently rebutted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's allegations that the BJP intends to abolish reservations for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). Shah, speaking at an election rally in support of BJP candidate Rajveer Singh "Raju Bhaiya" in Etah, stated that the BJP would never allow the removal of reservations for SC, ST, and OBCs.

Shah criticized Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of spreading falsehoods and claiming that the Congress leader had actually worked to diminish OBC reservations. He urged the public to support Raju Bhaiya's candidacy, emphasizing BJP's commitment to uplift the underprivileged.

Addressing the rally, Shah also targeted the opposition alliance, particularly the Samajwadi Party (SP), a key member of the alliance. He noted that the SP appeared unlikely to secure a single seat in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, highlighting the lack of support for the opposition alliance.

State BJP President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary and Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh also spoke at the event, supporting Rajveer Singh's candidacy. Shah emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's role in advancing the standard of living for the poor and criticized the opposition for hindering the construction of the Ram temple.

Rahul Gandhi had previously alleged that the BJP aimed to dismantle democracy and change the Constitution to exclude Dalits, backward classes, and tribals from governance. He asserted that the Congress was steadfast in defending the Constitution and reservation system.
