Mumbai Police Cracks Down on Accused, Intensifies Investigation
Mumbai Police has invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) against all six suspects involved in the firing incident at Salman Khan's residence. Four suspects have been arrested, one is abroad, and one is in jail. The police are bringing the jailed suspect to Mumbai for questioning.
In a significant development, Mumbai Police has applied sections of the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) against all six suspects involved in the firing incident at the residence of film actor Salman Khan.
The incident, which occurred on April 14 around 5 am, saw Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal riding a bike and firing four rounds in the air outside Salman Khan's house in Galaxy Apartment, Bandra. Both were arrested by Mumbai Police in Gujarat two days later. Additionally, Sonu Chander and Anuj Thapan were apprehended in Punjab for allegedly supplying arms and cartridges to Vicky and Sagar.
Following the incident, Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the attack on social media. Lawrence and Anmol are currently wanted in connection with the case. Anmol is abroad, leading the police to issue a lookout circular against him.
Mumbai Police is intensifying its investigation into the matter. They are also planning to bring Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently in jail, to Mumbai for further questioning. The police are committed to bringing all those involved in the incident to justice and ensuring the safety of the city.
