Gujarat Junior Clerk Exam Scheduled for April 9, Government to Provide Travel Allowance

Gujarat: The Gujarat Panchayat Services Selection Board is set to conduct the Junior Clerk exam on April 9, according to In-charge president Hasmukh Patel. Patel announced the exam details through a tweet, mentioning that call letters for the exam can be downloaded starting from 1 pm on March 31, 2023. Additionally, the government will provide a travel allowance of Rs 254 per examinee for transportation.

The travel allowance aims to facilitate examinees' commute using their own vehicles, while ST bus facilities will also be made available by the government. The exam centers have been intentionally set at a distance, and any irregularities noticed are encouraged to be reported immediately. The government has also urged voluntary organizations to assist students as much as possible.

The cost of conducting the Junior Clerk exam is estimated at Rs 30 crore, with an additional Rs 20 crore required for rent payments. Examinees have been advised to remain cautious, as last year's police vigilance exposed irregularities in the examination.

Regarding the Talati exam, Patel stated that preparations are underway to hold the examination on April 30. However, the availability of exam centers poses a challenge, as only seating arrangements for 14 lakh candidates out of 17 lakh have been secured. Insufficient remuneration provided by the commission has led some colleges to withhold their facilities for the exam.
