Ratan Tata Receives 2021 KIIS Humanitarian Award for Social Development Efforts
Mumbai, Maharashtra: Industrialist Ratan Tata, former chairman of the Tata Group, was conferred with the prestigious KIIS Humanitarian Award-2021 on Monday. The ceremony, held at Prof. Achyut Samant's private residence, recognized Mr. Tata's commitment to social development and his exemplary leadership in the corporate world.
Prof. Samant, founder of Keet-Kiss-Keems and Lok Sabha MP from Kandhamal, presented the award to Mr. Tata. The ceremony included prominent guests like Tata Group Chairman N. Chandrasekaran and musician Ricky Cage.
While the award was announced in 2021, it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Speaking at the event, Prof. Samant expressed his honor at presenting the award to Mr. Tata, stating that the industrialist's social work and leadership had been an inspiration since his childhood. He further mentioned his longstanding respect for Mr. Tata, dating back to when his own father worked for the Tata Company.
Established by Dr. Samant in 2008, the KIIS Humanitarian Award recognizes individuals and organizations that champion humanitarian efforts globally.
