Surat - A one-year-old girl accidentally ingested acid while playing in the kitchen at her home in the Limbayat area of Surat, in a tragic reminder of the importance of safely storing hazardous substances. The girl has been admitted to the New Civil Hospital in Surat, where she is currently receiving treatment.
The incident occurred in the Madina Masjid neighborhood of Limbayat, where the young girl's family resides. The child swallowed the acid while her mother was preparing a meal in the kitchen. The girl had mistaken the acid bottle for water and consumed its contents.
Upon discovering the situation, the girl was rushed to the New Civil Hospital in a critical condition. According to the hospital's doctors, the child had consumed approximately 50 ml of acid. She was immediately transferred to the ICU, where her condition remains critical.
