Relief from Heat Expected in Uttarakhand as Rain Predicted for Next Three Days
Light rain and snowfall possible in parts of the state
Dehradun (HS): Residents of Uttarakhand can expect some respite from the scorching heat as the weather department has predicted rain and snowfall in the state for the next three days, starting today.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a chance of light rain in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Dehradun, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal and Pithoragarh districts on April 20 and 21. Widespread rainfall is expected across the state on April 23. Snowfall is possible in areas above 4000 meters.
Dr. Bikram Singh, Director of the Meteorological Center, informed that the weather patterns might change at some places. He added that there is a possibility of light rain in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh, while Dehradun might experience partly cloudy skies.
