Surat - A 22-year-old construction worker, Shambhu Sudarshan Babri, died after his head became trapped in a lift door at a newly constructed building in the Vesu area of Surat. The young man sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the civil hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Following the incident, Vesu police have registered a case of accidental death and initiated further investigation.
The accident occurred at the construction site of Raghuveer Satya's new building, where Shambhu Sudarshan lived and worked. For reasons yet to be determined, the young man's head became stuck in the lift door as he was descending in the elevator.
Upon discovering the trapped worker, people from the surrounding area rushed to his aid, pulling him from the lift. The severe injuries to his neck made breathing difficult for the victim. Emergency services were called, and he was promptly transported to the civil hospital for treatment.
Sadly, Shambhu Sudarshan passed away after a brief period of treatment at the hospital. His sudden death has brought grief to his family, friends, and fellow workers at the construction site.
Vesu police were informed of the young man's death, and they conducted a post-mortem examination on the deceased. With a case of accidental death now registered, police continue their investigation into the tragic incident.
