Amit Shah Files Nomination from Gandhinagar, Recalls Journey from Booth Worker to Parliament

Gandhinagar, 19 April – Amit Shah, senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Union Home and Cooperation Minister, filed his nomination from the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat on Friday. Present at the nomination were Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Rajya Sabha MP Mayank Nayak, and Gandhinagar Lok Sabha in-charge KC Patel. The voting for Gandhinagar is scheduled for May 7. Shah, the current MP from Gandhinagar, received over 8.9 lakh votes in the last Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking to the media, Shah expressed his pride in representing the seat previously held by stalwarts like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani, and currently a seat where Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself is a voter. He reminisced, "I have been an MLA and MP from this seat for 30 years. It is from here that I have traveled from a small booth worker to Parliament. The people of this area have given me immense love." Shah highlighted the significant development projects worth over Rs 22,000 crore completed in Gandhinagar under PM Modi's leadership.

Shah emphasized the importance of the upcoming elections in securing a third term for Prime Minister Modi. He praised Modi's efforts in ensuring national security, prosperity, and bringing hope to millions of impoverished citizens. Shah expressed confidence in the overwhelming support for Modi's re-election, stating, "The whole country is excited to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for the third time with 400 votes."

He credited the last ten years under the BJP government for correcting the course set by the previous administration and laid out the next five years as crucial for laying the foundation of a developed India. Shah reiterated, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has succeeded in making the vision of 130 crore people a fully developed and first India in every field in the world by the year 2047."

The nomination ceremony was marked by enthusiastic support from BJP workers, reflecting the widespread admiration for Prime Minister Modi's leadership and the party's vision for a prosperous India.
