Salman Khan Firing: Mumbai Crime Branch Takes Over Investigation

Mumbai - The Mumbai Crime Branch has assumed control of the investigation into the recent firing incident outside actor Salman Khan's residence. The case was transferred on Sunday from the Bandra Police Station team.

Following the Trail:

Crime Branch officials visited the scene on Monday to gather evidence and assess the situation. Their investigation has yielded some initial leads. CCTV footage captured images of the two suspects involved in the shooting. Additionally, the motorcycle used in the crime has been recovered. Authorities have determined it originated from Raigarh district and was purchased second-hand. Efforts are underway to identify the previous owner.

Tracing the Escape Route:

CCTV footage further revealed the suspects abandoning the motorcycle in Bandra after the incident. They then took a rickshaw to Bandra Station, followed by a local train journey to Santa Cruz. Another rickshaw ride took them from Santa Cruz Station to Vakola. Police have been unable to track their movements beyond this point.

Social Media Scrutiny:

The investigation has also delved into the online realm. Anmol Bishnoi, brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the shooting via a Facebook post. Authorities have traced the post's IP address to Canada, raising suspicion that a Virtual Private Network (VPN) may have been used to mask the true location.

Identifying the Suspects:

One of the accused has been identified as Vishal, also known as Kalu, who is reportedly affiliated with gangster Rohit Godara. A Mumbai Police team has been dispatched to Haryana to apprehend the suspects.

Intensified Efforts:

The Mumbai Crime Branch is actively pursuing all leads and conducting an intensive investigation to bring those responsible to justice.
