PM Modi to Kick Off Gujarat Election Campaign from Rajkot on April 22

Ahmedabad, April 10 - Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch his first election rally in Gujarat on April 22 in Rajkot, the Lok Sabha seat contested by Union Minister Parshottam Rupala. This move is part of the BJP's strategy to address the concerns of the Kshatriya community. Following this, Modi plans to hold one election meeting in each of the other three zones of Gujarat. The campaign will also include road shows and rallies at various locations.

The BJP has announced all its 26 candidates in Gujarat for the Lok Sabha elections. With the notification issue in Gujarat on April 12, the process of filing nomination forms shall commence. The party has scheduled the nomination dates for all Union Ministers and prominent leaders. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Gandhinagar on April 19, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in Porbandar on April 15, Union Minister Parshottam Rupala on April 16, Union Minister of State Devusingh Chauhan in Nadiad on April 16, and State President CR Patil in Navsari on April 18.

Party candidates are actively campaigning in their respective areas, following the election program set by the state and central leadership. State President CR Patil is engaging with voters by communicating with local leaders in all areas.

Modi's Face at the Forefront

BJP aims to secure a hat-trick in the Lok Sabha elections in Gujarat. The party has set a target of winning all seats with a margin of more than 5 lakh votes. To achieve this, BJP is relying on the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi's credibility has become a major issue in the Gujarat elections. To leverage Modi's influence, BJP has scheduled public meetings for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in all four zones. The Saurashtra-Kutch zone meeting is set for Rajkot on April 22, with plans for additional meetings in South Gujarat, Central Zone, and North Zone.

More than Rs 5 Lakh Margin on Five Seats

In the last assembly elections, State President CR Patil aimed to win all 182 seats, but BJP secured a record victory with 156 seats, winning 80% of the seats. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP won 22 out of 26 seats by a margin of more than two lakh votes, and four seats—Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Surat, and Navsari—by a margin of more than five lakh votes.
