Surat Celebrates Ram Navami with Enthusiasm and Devotion
Processions and Festivities Held Across the City by Various Organizations
Surat city marked the birth of Lord Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram with grand celebrations on Ram Navami. Devotees flocked to the city's temples, filling the air with chants of "Jai Jai Shri Ram." Various religious organizations, including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), organized processions, Ramdhun, Bhandar, and rally processions throughout Surat.
Hindu organizations participated in the festivities, with temples being decorated and Mahaarti organized. A massive Shobha Yatra was organized by the Sanskriti Raksha Samiti and Madhav Gau Shala near Udhna Sai Samarpan Char Rasta. Thousands of Ram devotees attended the event, including local MLA Manubhai Patel, councilor Somnath Marathe, Harishbhai Suryavanshi, Manoj Padi, Manoj Kanojiya, and Krishnas Suryavanshi.
The VHP held processions in seven different locations, with thousands of participants joining in the celebration. The processions featured beautifully decorated depictions of Lord Shri Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman. VHP members and supporters joined the festivities, accompanied by DJ music and passing through various parts of the city under tight police deployment.
