SRH Pace Trio Shine as Hyderabad Clinches Victory over CSK

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) registered a convincing six-wicket victory against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday. The win was orchestrated by a stellar performance from the SRH pace attack, with all three fast bowlers achieving significant milestones.

Pat Cummins, the SRH skipper, reached a personal landmark by claiming his 50th IPL wicket. He conceded a mere 29 runs in his four-over spell, showcasing his experience and control. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the veteran pacer, etched his name in IPL history by surpassing Lasith Malinga to become the sixth-highest wicket-taker in the tournament. He picked up a crucial wicket and maintained a disciplined economy rate of 7.00.

The third member of the pace trio, Thangarasu Natarajan, also joined the party, reaching the 50-wicket mark for SRH. He dismissed Daryl Mitchell in the final over to complete his milestone and restrict CSK to a total of 165 runs.

Earlier, opting to bowl first, SRH kept CSK in check throughout their innings. While Shivam Dube (45 runs), Ravindra Jadeja (31 runs), and Ajinkya Rahane (35 runs) provided some resistance, the disciplined bowling from the Hyderabad pacers ensured CSK never took complete control.

In reply, SRH openers, Travis Head (31 runs) and Abhishek Sharma (37 runs), provided a blistering start. The momentum continued with a composed half-century from Aiden Markram (50 runs) as SRH chased down the target comfortably with four overs to spare.

This victory propels SRH to the fifth position in the points table, while CSK remains at number three due to a superior net run rate.
