Acting on a tip-off, the Women's Anti-Crime Branch raided a brothel disguised as a residence near the Bhagal vegetable market.

Police Bust Brothel in Surat's Bhagal Area, Rescue Three Women

The Surat police successfully shut down an illegal brothel operating in a house near the Bhagal vegetable market. The Women's Anti-Crime Branch (WACB) conducted the raid after receiving information about suspicious activities in the area.

Posing as a customer, an undercover officer from WACB infiltrated the brothel, leading to the arrest of the manager, Jigar Gandhi, six brokers, and four customers. Three women were rescued from the premises.

The police seized Rs 1,92,000 (including cash and the value of confiscated mobile phones), condoms, and other evidence during the raid. The investigation revealed that the brokers, identified as Vicky alias Amit, Shekhar Salunke, Khirodkumar alias Rakesh, Sanjay Kumar Patel, Rabulmandal Alimandal, and Noor Mandal, used WhatsApp to lure customers by sending pictures of the women.

Further investigation into the recovered mobile phones is underway. The rescued women are being provided with assistance by the WACB.
