Tragedy Strikes in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar: Family Loses Seven in Early Morning Fire

Maharashtra - A terrible fire ripped through a building in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar early Wednesday morning, claiming the lives of seven members of a family. The blaze, which is believed to have originated from an exploding vehicle charging outside the building, engulfed the structure entirely.

According to police reports, the fire broke out around 4 am at King Tailor's shop located in the Cantonment area. The shop comprised the ground floor of a building where a family of 16 resided on the upper floor. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.

Tragically, all seven members of the family who were sleeping upstairs perished in the fire due to suffocation. The deceased have been identified as Hamida Begum (50), Shaikh Sohail (35), Wasim Shaikh (30), Tanveer Wasim (23), Reshma Shaikh (22), Asim Wasim Shaikh (3), and Pari Wasim Shaikh (2).

One firefighter sustained injuries while battling the blaze and is currently receiving treatment at Valley Hospital. Thankfully, the remaining residents of the building were unharmed.
