THANE, MARCH 27, 2023: In a significant move supporting the Make in India initiative and the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Mission, LG Electronics India has inaugurated a local manufacturing line for Dual Inverter Air Conditioner Compressors at its Greater Noida facility. The new production line, launched in the presence of government officials, LG global executives, and other senior dignitaries, positions LG as the first brand to manufacture its own Dual Inverter Air Conditioner compressors in India.
With an investment of approximately INR 100 crores, the new facility boasts an annual production capacity of over 1 million units. Equipped with advanced technologies and machinery, the facility will manufacture Dual Inverter Air Conditioner compressors, further solidifying LG India's market leadership in the air conditioning industry.

Hyunjin Lee, Manufacturing MD of LG Electronics India, commented on the inauguration, stating, "We have been continuously serving the Indian market for the past 25 years by providing consumers with the latest products & technologies. We are well aligned with the honorable PM's vision of MAKE IN INDIA and continuously expanding our local manufacturing." Lee added that the company recently began manufacturing Side by Side Refrigerators at its Pune facility and that the Greater Noida manufacturing line marks another step towards making Self-Reliant India a reality and transforming India into a powerful manufacturing hub.

Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of LG Electronics, South Korea, was established in January 1997 and has become a formidable brand in consumer electronics, home appliances, HVAC, and IT hardware. The company's eco-friendly manufacturing unit at Greater Noida is one of the greenest among all LG manufacturing plants worldwide, while the second Greenfield facility in Ranjangaon, Pune, produces LED TVs, air conditioners, commercial air conditioning systems, washing machines, refrigerators, and monitors.
