BMU Celebrates Third Convocation with Degrees for Over 2000 Students

Surat, April 3: Bhagwan Mahavir University (BMU) is all set to hold its third convocation ceremony tomorrow, with Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria gracing the event as the chief guest. Savjibhai Dholakia and Suresh Jain will also be present as special guests.

The ceremony will see a total of 2061 students receive their degrees across various faculties. This includes awarding 26 gold medals, 26 silver medals, and degrees to 20 PhD scholars.

"This is our third convocation and there's immense excitement among the entire university staff, principals, directors, and students," said Anil Jain, Founder and Managing Trustee of BMU. A grand youth festival called "Spandan" will follow the convocation, featuring a fashion show, folk dances, and a talent show put on by the students. Additionally, prize distribution will recognize students who have achieved success at the national level.

Dr. Sanjay Jain, President of BMU, congratulated the graduating class and expressed his best wishes for their future endeavors. He highlighted BMU's commitment to student success, not just in academics but also in career opportunities. The university collaborates with the Surat Employment Exchange to organize an annual Mega Job Fair, where thousands of students secure placements with over 250 companies across India.

"BMU offers students from South Gujarat, including Surat, all the necessary facilities for their studies and research, eliminating the need to go abroad or to South India," Dr. Jain added. The university's Incubation Center fosters student entrepreneurship by providing them with guidance, funding, and the opportunity to launch their own startups.

Looking ahead, Dr. Jain stated BMU's plans to collaborate with local industries to bridge the gap between academia and the professional world. The university has designed specialized knowledge and training courses tailored to industry needs.
