Surat Civil Hospital: Notorious Pickpockets Caught Again

Surat Civil Hospital has once again been rocked by a security breach. Two women, who were previously caught stealing six months ago, were apprehended today along with a child for attempting theft at the hospital.

R.K. Singh, Security In-charge of Surat Civil Hospital, revealed that the women were caught stealing on a previous occasion and a police complaint was filed. Hospital security had received reports that the women had returned with a child and were actively monitoring them. Their vigilance paid off today when the women were apprehended in the parking lot.

These women are reported to target crowded areas like the OPD by taking advantage of the chaos. They allegedly steal belongings from patients and their relatives while using the child as a distraction. Their modus operandi also involves carrying expired medicines and files, possibly to further deceive their victims. Additionally, they have been accused of demanding money from people visiting the hospital.

The hospital security had received reports of a rise in mobile phone thefts, with around 10 reported missing in the last month and a half. This intel, coupled with news of the women's return, prompted heightened monitoring. CCTV footage was also reviewed, leading to their eventual capture. The women have now been handed over to the police.
