Emraan Hashmi to Star in Amazon Prime Video's 'Ground Zero'

Mumbai, March 20th: Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has signed on for a new film titled 'Ground Zero,' which will be released on Amazon Prime Video. The announcement comes as part of Prime Video's recent unveiling of 69 upcoming movies and web series.

Hashmi, known for his distinct acting style and impressive filmography, will portray a BSF soldier in 'Ground Zero'. The film follows his character's deployment to a sensitive situation in Kashmir. Notably, the movie was filmed on location in Srinagar, with Hashmi spending two weeks there for shooting.

Directed by Tejas Deuskar, 'Ground Zero' is produced by Excel Entertainment, the production company led by actor-filmmakers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

This announcement comes amidst a busy period for Hashmi. He is gearing up for the release of 'Ae Watan Mere Watan' alongside Sara Ali Khan, where he portrays the role of Indian politician Ram Manohar Lohia. Hashmi's recent projects include appearances in Salman Khan's 'Tiger 3' as the ISI agent Aatish Fateh Qadri, the comedy film 'Selfie' with Akshay Kumar, and the web series 'Showtime'.
