Indian Navy Celebrates Nari Shakti with All-Women Car Rally

In celebration of Nari Shakti and the contributions of women to the nation, the Indian Navy, in collaboration with the Navy Wellness and Welfare Association (NWWA) and Jeep India, will conduct a 12-day all-women car rally from February 14th to 25th, 2023. The rally, which starts from the National War Memorial in New Delhi, will traverse through several cities in Rajasthan, covering a total distance of 2300 km.

The rally is organized to celebrate the 75th year of independence, showcase the contributions of naval women officers, motivate more women to join the Indian Navy, pay homage at the Longewala War Memorial, and interact with naval veterans and their families along the way.

Admiral R Hari Kumar, the Chief of the Naval Staff, will flag off the rally virtually, and the rally will be led by Mrs Kala Hari Kumar, the President of NWWA. During the rally, the NWWA members will conduct outreach programs at schools for special children, old age homes, and orphanages. The women officers will also conduct motivational talks about the Indian Navy and the opportunities it offers at schools and colleges.

In addition to Jeep India, the rally is supported by partners such as EVO India, Femina, Marriott Group, Apparel India, DLF Promenade, and Luxottica Group. The all-women car rally is a tribute to the bravery and resilience of women in India and a celebration of Nari Shakti, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized as crucial to achieving the vision of "Amrit Kaal".
