Car carrying wedding party collides with tractor on NH 31
Patna: A tragic road accident in Bihar's Khagaria district claimed the lives of seven people on Monday morning. Three others were injured in the collision.
The accident occurred on National Highway 31 (NH 31) near the Pasraha police station, according to police reports. A car carrying a wedding party collided with a tractor loaded with cement. All seven occupants of the car died at the scene.
Police identified the victims as returning from a wedding ceremony in the Chautham Block area. The group had attended the wedding of the middle son of Indradev Thakur, a resident of Bithala village in the Madaiya police station area. Eyewitnesses reported that the car was carrying a total of eleven people.
The injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
