BJP Aims for Record Victory Margin in Gandhinagar
Party Strategizes to Secure Amit Shah's Victory by Over 10 Lakh Votes
Gandhinagar, March 18 - The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has set its sights on a historic achievement in Gandhinagar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah's Lok Sabha constituency. Not content with aiming for an 11th consecutive victory in the seat, the BJP is working towards securing a victory margin of over 10 lakh votes, a feat unprecedented in Indian electoral history.
Shah, who secured a significant victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, has been nominated once again from Gandhinagar. Previously held by senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, the seat has been a stronghold for the party since 1989.
Should Shah achieve this monumental victory margin, he would surpass the record set by Gujarat Pradesh BJP President CR Patil, who won the Navsari Lok Sabha seat by a margin of 6.89 lakh votes in 2019.
The BJP's strategy involves meticulous micro-management and the recruitment of former candidates from other parties, social leaders, key voters, and officials from rival parties. This extensive groundwork, initiated months before the election announcement, has already shown promising results.
Amit Shah, who has remained actively engaged in his constituency over the past five years, has been instrumental in bringing significant development projects to Gandhinagar. Despite his responsibilities as Union Home Minister, Shah has made a concerted effort to attend inaugurations and ground-breaking ceremonies for various projects in the area.
In the 2019 elections, Shah secured 894,000 votes out of a total of 1,285,826 cast in Gandhinagar. With a targeted voter turnout of around 13 lakh, the BJP is aiming for a margin of victory exceeding 10 lakh votes, which would set a new benchmark in Indian electoral history.
