A 40-year-old woman was molested in the Rander Road area of Surat by a man claiming to be more attractive than her husband. The incident occurred while lady was working in her grocery shop. The accused, Nadeem alias Talli Hanif Shaikh, allegedly made advances towards her, which escalated to physical assault.
Victim, a mother of two, reported the incident to the Rander police after her husband returned from work. She stated that Talli Hanif Shaikh had approached her while she was outside the shop and proceeded to harass her, claiming to be more attractive than her husband. When she resisted, Shaikh allegedly touched her inappropriately and threatened her before fleeing the scene.
Following the complaint, the police arrested Talli Hanif Shaikh. This incident has once again highlighted the issue of crimes against women and the need for stricter enforcement of the law.
