Mumbai, March 7th: Veteran actor Anupam Kher, known for his diverse roles in over 500 films, is returning to the director's chair after a 22-year hiatus. He made the announcement on his 69th birthday, marking the occasion with a heartfelt video seeking his mother's blessings.

Kher's previous directorial venture, "Om Jai Jagadish" (2002), did not find box office success. However, his passion for filmmaking remains, and he has spent the past three years developing "Tanvi The Great," a musical film he describes as a story that "must reach people."
