Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Takes on Modi Government in Gujarat
Congress Leader Demands Caste-based Census, Aam Aadmi Party Joins the Rally
Dahod, March 7 - Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra arrived in Gujarat on Thursday, greeted by enthusiastic Congress workers in Jhalod, Dahod district. The yatra, aimed at uniting India, took a critical stance against the Modi government at the Center, with Rahul Gandhi highlighting various issues during his address to the gathered crowd.
Speaking at a meeting in Jhalod, Rahul Gandhi reiterated his demand for a caste-based census, emphasizing that such data would reveal the economic disparities and social representation in the country. He stressed that it would provide transparency on wealth distribution, institutional representation, and budget allocation, particularly benefitting marginalized communities like Dalits.
Notably, leaders and workers from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also participated in the yatra, showing a united front against the ruling government. Key figures such as AAP state president Isudan Gadhvi and former chief Gopal Italia joined the rally, indicating a broader coalition against the current political landscape.
The yatra is scheduled to traverse seven districts in Gujarat over four days, covering a total distance of 445 kilometers.
