Commercial LPG Price Hiked, But Domestic Rates Remain Stable

New Delhi, March 1st: Effective March 1st, 2024, the price of commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders has increased by Rs 25.50. This change comes alongside other significant developments implemented at the start of the new financial year.
Commercial LPG Price Hike: Public sector oil and gas companies have announced a price rise of Rs 25.50 for 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders. The revised prices vary slightly across major cities:
- Delhi: Rs 1,795 (up from Rs 1,769.50)
- Kolkata: Rs 1,911 (up from Rs 1,887)
- Mumbai: Rs 1,749 (up from Rs 1,723.50)
- Chennai: Rs 1,960.50 (up from Rs 1,937)
Domestic LPG Price Remains Unchanged: Notably, this price hike only affects commercial cylinders. Domestic LPG cylinders, commonly used in households, remain unaffected and maintain their current price:
- Delhi: Rs 903
- Bhopal: Rs 908
- Jaipur: Rs 906
Other Key Changes on March 1st:
- Fastag KYC Deadline: The government-mandated deadline for completing Fastag KYC was February 29th. Non-compliance will result in Fastag deactivation and potential double toll charges.
- GST E-way Bill Update: Traders with a turnover exceeding Rs 5 crore now require e-invoices to generate e-way bills under the revised GST regulations.
