Ranchi : Former England captain Joe Root and young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal have seen significant improvements in their ICC rankings following their performances in the fourth Test of the World Test Championship series against India.
Root, who was previously outside the top three, climbed two spots to third after a crucial unbeaten century in the first innings. Jaiswal, meanwhile, jumped a massive 57 places thanks to scores of 73 and 37, reaching a career-best 12th position.
